3 commentsImprovements could be made to the equipment in the Children's Play areas, particularly as Shorefield is a family park with 5 stars. The Dane Park play area has a sand base which becomes flooded when it rains heavily and this is the very time when it may not be possible to go far and a quick trip to the play park between showers gets the children outside for a brief spell.

I know this caters for the masses but I am sure that we are all not fast food lovers and the Oakdene cafe would be used more if there was a better selection and maybe in the colder months, home made soups??

17 commentsWe have been considering introducing access barriers to the accommodation areas of the park and would very much appreciate your comments & votes. In essence the idea would be to install entrance and exit barriers to control vehicles entering and leaving the accommodation areas, which would be controlled by an automated system. There are no plans at this time to staff the barriers and we have not agreed a final location to site them.
I am posting this idea as I would very much appreciate your valued input at this early stage of the idea.

7 commentsMaybe a good idea or not, But what about a BBQ night in the summer time (weather permitting) for Ambassadors? Maybe Shorefield could arrange on a Friday/Saturday night (within the 6 weeks holidays) a night where we have a BBQ night and all owners/guests/fanmilies can attend and meet with each other and member of Shorefield staff to attend also so we can all bond. People could bring food for the BBQ if Shorefield would not supply. And maybe hold the function in the car park area near the Country Pumpkin and then Shorefield bars could supply plastic cups (pint cups) for people who wish to stand outside within the car park/BBQ area to eat/drink etc and mingle. Just an idea.

Can this be opened more during the summer/sunny days? Also useful for the children to use the bathrooms rather than walking all the way round to the reception area.

As we are huge fans of northern soul and as the following is growing in Bournemouth, there are venues in Boscombe, Bournemouth Pier and the Belverdere Hotel and many others.
Thought it would be a good idea for us to do a soul night as we have got the facilities at both parks and with the right fliers put round at these events we would soon get a good following.
What do you think of the idea?

To make the 1st England game more enjoyable can Shorefield look into giving Ambassadors/owners a drink/meal deal in the Cheers bar? Maybe buy one meal and get another half price or free! or buy a pitcher for £7.00 instead of £10.00. Also best caravan/Lodge decorated for the WORLD CUP will win a prize. Could do this on every England game being played through the world cup, will make everyone happier and give more support to be at the Cheers bar rather then staying in your caravan/lodge seeing its on normal tv. Any more ideas would be welcome. COME ON ENGLAND
